Hi, I'm Stephanie, the woman behind the apron. I’m the founder of My Chef Steph. Born on the idea (especially dinner) food shouldn't be complicated to be delicious, I started My Chef Steph in 2016. 

I was born to a farming ranching family in North Central Idaho, the baby of 6 and the girl of the family.  This farm/ranch foundation is the cornerstone of my philosophy towards creating Simple Delicious Meals, using seasonal ingredients as fresh as I can find them, treating food simply and with heart so it's always delicious.  My mom was an incredible cook and learning from her as we made meals not only for our large family but for the farmhands that stayed in our Bunkhouse was an upbringing I will always cherish. 

I created my first full harvest meal by myself when I was 14 while my mom was receiving cancer treatment for breast cancer.  Many years later, I can still remember that first meal - Swedish meatballs with creamy mashed potatoes, fresh from the garden green beans, homemade rolls with butter and jam, salad and assorted pies for dessert.  THIS is when I truly fell in love with creating scratch made meals.

I am a past Lewiston Roundup Queen (a PRCA rodeo) and travelled over all across the Pacific Northwest my senior year in high school as a spokesperson for the rodeo which is held the Thursday after Labor Day each year. 

>  I married my High School Sweetheart and together we have 3 beautiful and talented daughters. We are also the caretaker of my next oldest brother Drew, who was born with Down's Syndrome and is also a Type 1 Diabetic. Caring and living with Drew has given me first hand knowledge of how to provide delicious food swaps for people with food sensitivities and allergies.

> 25 suitcases, 3 girls and Drew (my next oldest brother who has Downs Syndrome) we moved to Maui, Hawaii. We LOVED Hawaii and lived their quite happy for almost 7 years!
